Student loans for study abroad: the guideline set up by the Ministry of Education and executed by designated banking groups.The eligibility for the loan, whose interest much lower than the average ones, is based on family income.
MOE Government Scholarship: There are four types of government scholarships offered by the Ministry of Education as below:
- General Government Scholarship Test: The Ministry of Education provides more than sixty scholarships in different areas annually.Students who want to win the reward must submit the required documentation and pass the exam.
- Government Study Abroad Scholarship:The Ministry of Education provides one hundred and twenty scholarships in different areas annually to students who have obtained admission to or have attended a PhD program abroad.Students who want to win the reward must submit the required documentation to the Committee.
- Post-doc Study Abroad Scholarship: The Ministry of Education provides twenty scholarships in different areas annually to students who have planned to attend a postdoctoral program abroad.Students who want to win the reward must submit the required documentation to the Committee.
- Special Study Abroad Project for Elite Professional: The Execute Yuan has assigned the Ministry of Education, the National Science Council and the Council for Economic Planning and Development to establish a special project to foster “young elites” in twelve areas in order to study abroad.Students who want to win the reward must submit the required documentation to the Committee.

Study Abroad Electronic Center: sponsored by the Ministry of Education and executed by Fulbright Scholarly Foundation.It includes various assistantships offered by Taiwan's organizations for postdoctoral research, PhD studies, master's programs, bachelor's degrees as well as short-term programs.
